Summary
This volume presents the personal stories of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, an association of Argentine mothers whose children "disappeared" during the Dirty War of the military dictatorship, between 1976 and 1983. It describes the personal anguish of these families over the torture, deaths or "disappearance" of their children, but also shows how these women gave emotional support to each other and the way in which, since 1976, they slowly but surely organized and built and international movement
